The Florida Medical Massage Institute’s goal is to provide academic and hands-on educational experience in a practical learning environment for professional massage therapists.

The Medical Massage Certification program consists of 20 CE hours of hands-on and academic study and 80 hours of practical experience serving as an LMT Intern in a qualified medical office under the supervision of an LMT Mentor. Internship investment is $1,500.

Concentrated, focused academic and practical educational experience in Medical Massage.
• Learn all aspects of Medical Office operation.
• Learn specific Medical Massage technique under the supervision of an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist Mentor.
• Get an introduction to physical therapy modalities and x-ray processing (when available).
• Receive ongoing academic training.
• Learn the medical language necessary to easily
communicate with the doctor and other healthcare providers.
• Receive 20 hours of CE credit –
12 hours - Developing a Pain Management Plan for Massage Therapists.
8 hours - Introduction to Physical Therapy Modalities for Massage Therapists.
• Have your own personal LMT Advisor as you progress through your internship program.
• Learn all aspects of Medical Office operation.
• Learn specific Medical Massage technique under the supervision of an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist Mentor.
